Two assistant/associate professor positions are open on SW engineering in the laboratory of Pervasive Computing at Tampere University of Technology (TUT). The laboratory has over 130 staff members and wide spectrum of research areas: user experience and gamification, SW development and engineering, parallel and embedded systems, and cyber security. The two tenure track positions are announced under TUT’s strategic area “Intelligent Machines”, in which we have nine tenure track positions in total.
We are looking for two candidates in SW engineering expertise in the most current research topics. For example, we are interested in utilization of artificial intelligence as a tool to improve SW quality and increase development productivity, or using it as a component of a SW system. We also see important to consider cyber security as integral part of SW design to create more secure, safe and dependable applications. We are open on your expertise and welcome you to join us.
Our current SW engineering focus areas are:
- data driven approaches for improving the development process, SW architecture and quality,
- novel programming and execution frameworks for IoT systems,
- large-scale industrial SW systems
- on-line teaching methods and tools
